Midhurst to Delhi to Manali – 11 July – 13 July
11 July - meet at school 9am with all kit. Leave for airport 5.15pm. Depart London Heathrow (Terminal 3) at 22:00 on flight VS300 arriving at 11:00 on 12 July. Get transport to YWCA guesthouse on Ashoka Road. Rest of day to relax/explore/change money/buy supplies. On 13 - morning free to explore then get tickets for night bus to Manali. Depart in evening for 18 plus hour journey.Manali – 14 July – 16 July
In Manali getting ready for first Himalayan trek. Possibility of white-water rafting.Trek 1 – 17 July – 21 July
Depart Manali morning of 17 to drive to Chatru over the Rohtang Pass. Over the following days trek over the Hampta Pass (4275m) through villages of Shea Gahru, Chika and ending in Panduropa. Spectacular views of Deo Tibba and Indrasan peaks as well as Tokru-Shakru.Project: Rumsu – 21 July – 30 July
Back into Manali on Tuesday morning and then getting organised to depart for project on Thursday after a visit on Wednesday. Working with local people on refurbishment of classroom and creation of a play area.Trek 2 – 31 July – 3 August
Depart on 2nd trek directly from project in Rumsu. Trek over the Chanderkhani Pass to Kullu Valley and onto the villages of Manala and Jari.R&R 4 August – 9 August
Back into Manali on 4 August (another possible place where we could slot in some white-water rafting) and then setting off again on 5 by bus for Shimla where we board the famous "Toy Train" steam line for the journey to Kalka. From Kalka we join the main railway back to Delhi, arriving on morning of Thu 6. Friday and Saturday will probably be spent in Agra visiting the Taj Mahal and other sights before returning to Delhi and flying home on Sunday 9 August at 13:15 on flight VS301, arriving London Heathrow (Terminal 3) at 17:55.“HAHAHAHA Bazoomas!!!”

Ben's sensitive attempt to reassure a claustrophobic Hayley on top of the minaret at the mosque in Delhi.“You should never try to fulfil your potential. You might be disappointed. Leave your potential where it is.”

Josh, with puzzled expression, at the Red Fort in Delhi as the guide was telling us about the 2 moats, a wet moat for crocodiles and a dry moat for leopards.

Don’t think it’s unblocked yet. Paul is looking at it and said he’d contact county. Might take a while though. Terry was going to try to chase it up as she thought it would be good for students to be able to see it.

Your tracker is working but currently showing Easebourne! I know you are not there because I have seen the pictures! It should work once you get up high on the trek which is what is happening to other teams.

Your tracker is working now, showing a million little blue circles and red lines near a hotel called ‘Hotel Kaniska’. Team 2′s tracker has been showing New Delhi since Saturday…
