Sorry...I couldn't resist this...

Jane here.

Was in contact with Mike Trueman who told me that, when he’s been meeting groups at Heathrow on the same time flight as our teams, he gets back to Midhurst at about 8.30pm so earlier 7.30 estimates may be a bit optimistic.

I’ll pootle down to school at 7.30-ish just in case and open up the Sixth Form area so we have somewhere to sit and wait if needed.

See you there

Thanks Jane. Thats kind of you to do that. Hayley did tell me 8.30 on facebook so I may split the difference. Hope you are feeling better now. I am sure you will be feeling so disappointed but be good to see them home! See you tonight x

7,730 hits to this blog page, let’s see if we can top the 8000!, sure we can do it!

    • Judy Agate says:

Bev . . The hits are going up . . Am I the only one that keeps logging on to see if we can get them over 8,000 or are we all secretly playing this game too ?!? See you later . . Not that I’m counting down the minutes or anything x

Thanks jane for updating on the eta . . So exciting !! Am going to miss logging on to the blog though with the anticipation of seeing if there’s another update . X x

    • Bev Carter says:

No I keep logging on as well to see if the blogs are going up, come on everyone we’re at 7960, another 40 let’s see if we can make it before we meet tonight. Really excited too now, as they’re nearly home, hope I don’t embarass myself by crying (more like embarass Ben that is), see you all later

That thought was just crossing my mind too . . Will Geoege die of embarrassment if I run up to him and fling my arms round him . Think I had better contain myself ! Come on everyone get blogging – if team 1 can paint a school out in 9 days we can surely reach 8,000 hits in a month !!

  4. Pam & Dennis Palmer says:

  6. Bev Carter says:

Yes thank you so much, I’ve (to a certain extent) lived it with the team, it has, undeniably, been a fab blog to follow and one I am sure the guys will look back and read in the days, weeks and months after their amazing experience. Thank you Jane for keeping it up to date, not easy I’m sure with the keyboards of India. xxx

Yes I think we probably are !! Thank you for the flight update Doreen. The blog has also just hit 8,002 – yeah we did it!! Team 1 parents rock too!!!!

  12. The phrase “worse than the kids” springs to mind!

See you all in less than an hour!!

You have to promise to behave.

Think I might bring camera and take some photos of emotional reunions. We’ve got another couple of posts in us yet!!

  13. Bev Carter says:

Here’s to all our lovely parents, my stats are showing 8019 – what are we going to do with ourselves now that we haven’t got blogs to watch / stats to count, probably washing to do and mouths to feed!! See you all shortly

  14. Very pleased to do our little bit;yes,I know the 8000 target has already been well passed, but we wanted the chance, anyway, to say well done and welcome home to the weary travelers.(They must be weary mustn’t they? or perhaps it’s all been one big adrenalin buzz!)As riveted followers of the blog ,we have been just full of admiration for everyone, and we felt so much for Jane, forced to come home early. (Hope you’re feeling better,Jane).Special mention too for Marian, left to ‘care’,staff-wise, for team 1. Finally I must (half-heartedly) deny any responsibility for anything of questionable taste that may have come from blogger Judy Agate!…she couldn’t possibly be taking after her father,….could she?

love to all, Barba Nick & Nanny Aud xx
